Safety
The physical and emotional well-being of our campers is our highest priority. We know the most important defense against accidents is a strict policy of prevention. Constant supervision and guidance make this possible. We ensure that at least two staff members are trained and certified in medical emergency response, as well as take care of the usual scrapes and bruises.

The camp is prepared for more serious emergencies with plans for evacuation to large, modern hospitals in Damariscotta and Rockland, each within 20 miles. There is a fast and reliable local ambulance which can be available within minutes.

All boating and swimming activities are supervised by a lifeguard and conducted within the guidelines and regulations of the US Coast Guard and local law enforcement. All campers are required to wear lifejackets in any boat.
