The core staff has more than 75 years of collective experience with the camp.

Director Emeritus John Duda operated the non-profit camp successfully for 35 years. He grew up spending summers on the island and is an experienced boater and woodsman, as well as a knowledgeable environmental instructor.

Director Chris Duda is an active Merchant Marine officer, US Coast Guard licensed captain, and an experienced sailing instructor. He grew up in the program as a participant and has held every position of employ at the camp over the past 15 years. He is a certified waterfront life guard and medical first responder for wilderness emergencies.

Staff Supervisor Tony Berger is a 10-year veteran youth counselor with the Juvenile Justice system and has been the head camp counselor for 15 years. Mr. Berger is a certified emergency responder trained in CPR.

The camp employs additional counselors to ensure the ratio of campers to staff is no more than five to one. The counselors excel at working with young people and most have multiple years of experience on the island.
